Iervolino Entertainment (“IE”, “the Company”), a company engaged in the production of cinematographic and television content for the international market and listed on the AIM Italia stock exchange, announced that filming of Spin Me Round will begin in Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, in Modena, on 3 June. Shooting is scheduled to end on 2 July.
Iervolino Entertainment will be responsible for the production service of the film, commissioned by the production company Duplass Brothers Productions, which will produce the film together with Limelight.
The indie comedy will be directed by Jeff Baena based on a screenplay he wrote with Alison Brie (Mad Men, Community), who will also be the lead actress. Joining her in the cast will also be Alessandro Nivola (Face/Off, Jurassic Park III), Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation, Legion), Molly Shannon (Other People, Saturday Night Live), Craig Robinson (The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Zachary Woods (The Office, Silicon Valley).
The American manager of a chain of Italian restaurants wins the chance to participate in a programme for restaurateurs in Italy. What she thought would be a romantic getaway turns into a chaotic adventure.
Andrea Iervolino, president and founder of Iervolino Entertainment, noted: “We are proud to have been selected by Duplass Brothers Productions for the executive production of “Spin me Round”, and to have the opportunity to work with Jeff Baena, a director I respect a lot and who has been particularly appreciated for successful movies such as “The Little Hours”, “Life After Beth”, “Horse Girl” and “Joshy”. Once again, by bringing a new international production to Italy, we will give our country’s professionals the opportunity to work on a project destined for global distribution, and this makes us even prouder”.
